Handmade Casino Invitations
Your casino party is going to be special so start with special, personalized, handmade invitations. These invitations will be the talk of the party, giving your guests a homemade party favor. You will need green felt, several decks of playing cards and medium weight, light colored card stock, light weight, red and blue card stock glue stick, and gold and / or silver gel pens and markers. Try using larger envelopes for your handmade invitations. I suggest gold 5x7 inch envelopes that are available at most office, stationary and discount department stores. Cut the card tock into rectangles that will fit inside the envelopes. Write your party information on one side of the card stock. Cut the felt to fit the card stock. This is easy if you use the card stock as a template for the felt. Glue the felt to one side of the card stock. Glue two or three playing cards to the green felt. Position them so they are overlapping.
Draw dice on a piece of light colored card stock and cut them out. Place the dice to the green felt side of your homemade card. Cut out several round blue and red shapes for poker chips. Draw in the dollar sign on each one and place them around the card. When you are satisfied with the position of the dice and chips, glue them down to your homemade invitation. On one poker chip use the gel pen to write the guest’s name on other write a slogan like “You’re a Winner”. Write you party information on the back of your handmade invitation. Let everything dry and slip it in your envelope.
