Handmade Fiesta Invitations

Tip: Gluing the confetti works best if treating it like glitter. Use a glues stick or spread liquid glue out very thin. Only put the glue where it is desired that the confetti stick. Sprinkle confetti on and then tap off the excess. This provides a consistent look.
Next, trace a sombrero hat onto brown cardstock and then cut it out. Glue the sombrero on the front of the card and then decorate it with maracas, colored ribbon and more. Adding material items onto the cardstock to create different layers adds dimension to the invite and makes it more interesting.
Tip: Be careful not to overload the front of the card because it might become too heavy and collapse on itself or even begin to wrinkle up.
