Handmade Fire Engine Invitations
Fire Engine homemade party invitations are fun to make because they can be as plain or dynamic as the creator wants. In this selection, the Fire Engine or fire truck homemade invitation is easy to make but more dynamic than a traditional party invitation. Another great aspect about the Fire Engine invitation and theme is that it can be used for boys and girls alike. Start by gathering all the necessary craft supplies for the fire truck including white and red cardstock, scissors, glue stick, tracing paper and pen.
The first step to creating the Fire Engine party invitation is to lay out the red cardstock and trace a Fire Engine or fire truck shape onto it and then cut it out. When it is cut out, glue it on the white card stock.
Tip: Be sure to make the red Fire Engine large enough so that information can be placed in compartments.
Next, start creating areas of the fire truck by tracing in details such as windows, fire hose, doors and more. When satisfied with the way it looks, pick the area where the information will go. Trace each information area with the tracing paper and then transfer it onto another piece of red cardstock. For example, if information was going to go on the door, trace the outline of the door, transfer it onto red cardstock and then cut it out.
As soon as all the areas are cut out, fold down a thin strap from the top of each area and then glue it to the original area creating a flap. Guests will then be able to lift up the flaps and see a funny joke, information to the party and more.
