Handmade Golf Invitations
Handmade invitation for a golf party can help you score a “hole in one” with your guests. You will need white card stock, green felt, felt in a bright color other than green, toothpicks, glue stick, green gel pen or marker. Cut pieces of the white card stock into a rectangle for your homemade card. Fold it in half so that the short sides meet. Cut felt into pieces that fit half way up the card. On the outside top of the card glue one piece of felt to the button half and personalize your handmade card by writing the guest’s name on the top half using the gel pen. Using more of the white card stock cut round shapes for homemade golf balls. Glue the golf ball to the green felt and using the gel pen write a slogan like “A Day Without Golf is Like a Day Without Sunshine” or “Score a Hole in One”.
Now move on to the inside of your handmade card. .Just like on the outside front glue a piece of green felt to the bottom half. Cut small flag shapes from the other color of felt and glue them to the top of the toothpicks to make golf flags. Glue the miniature homemade golf flag to the inside of the card so that about ¼ inch is on the green felt. Cut tiny little oval shapes and glue one right at the bottom of the miniature handmade flag for the hole. Use the gel pen to write your party info on the top half of the inside. Let everything dry and you’ve got a creative, decorative, homemade invitation.
