Handmade Hippies Invitations
Hippies homemade party invitations can be groovy and fun to create with just a little time, creativity and craft supplies. The one thing that comes to mind when thinking about Hippies is peace signs. This is an item that many Hippies wore during the sixties and seventies and was a mark that remained popular throughout the current time period. It is now time to resurrect the Hippies theme and create custom peace sign party invitations!
Start by cutting a circle out of cardstock. The cardstock color does not matter, although it should match the theme. In general, pinks, greens, purples, yellows and reds are all very popular colors to use when creating peace signs. Once the circle has been traced and cut out, create the actual piece sign in the middle of the circle by using a contrasting cardstock color. This is simple done by placing a strip of paper down the center and then having two separate pieces of cardstock coming out from the sides.
Once the invitation has been all glued in place, it is time to add other embellishments such as glitter and beads. Have fun decorating the peace sign however much or little it is. After the front is decorated, flip the Hippies themed homemade party invitation over and include the important information the guests will be looking for such as how to get to the Hippies themed party, when to come, what to bring and who to contact to let them know they are coming.
