Handmade Labor Day Invitations
This Labor Day, impress your family and friends with homemade party invitations! When you work during the week, it can be difficult to plan a party and take the time to create handmade party invitations, but with a quick trip to your local craft store, it can be a lot faster than you think.
Labor Day is about relaxing and sporting Patriotic decorations. It is a celebration of honoring years of hard work and what better way than to place some hard work into your handmade party invitations? At your local craft store pick up some red and white cardstock paper, strips of patriotic star stickers, and some star buttons in the appropriate colors. Cut your red cardstock paper just to the size of a post card. With the white cardstock paper, cut into the same shape as your red cardstock, but about a quarter inch shorter. Using a glue stick, apply the white paper to the red and allow to dry. Take your strips of star stickers and string them across the bottom and top corners of your invitation. Add a few red and blue star buttons with glue to the opposing corners just to accent. With a blue or red pen, write your invitation on the white card stock and allow the invitation to dry fully. These invitations can easily be mailed or hand delivered to your guests. With just a few pieces of paper and stickers you have created a simple, but fun homemade party invitation for this Labor Day!
