Handmade MLB Baseball Invitations
Take your guests out to the ball game with handmade invitations to a Major League Baseball party. You will need green and white felt, green markers, a glue stick and either tan, beige, cream or sand colored card stock; whichever one you can find. Cut the card stock for you homemade invitation in a diamond shape. Next cut the felt into a smaller diamond shape that will allow you to see an inch of the card stock when you place the felt in the middle of the card stock. Do exactly that. Make your handmade baseball diamond by putting the green felt in the middle of the light colored card stock.
Cut small circles to represent first, second, and third base.
Now cut two slightly larger circles for the pitcher’s mound and home base. Glue the bases and mound to the appropriate places on your green felt. Glue the green felt to the tan / cream colored card stock. Using the green marker customize your homemade baseball diamond by putting the name of your guest on the home base circle. Write basebsall slogans on your handmade invitation like “Play Ball” or “Home Run”.
Turn the card stock over and write you party information on it. Leave room about half way down to write a few interesting baseball facts like; “Through the 2009 season, the New York Yankees have won the most World Series Championships with 27. The second is St. Louis Cardinals with 10.” If you really want to personalize your homemade invitations, instead to MLB facts write made up player stats for each of your guests.
