Handmade Seventies Invitations
Seventies homemade 1970s party invitations begin with depicting what made the Seventies hot- 1970s Disco! Get into the disc fever by cranking up the excitement with fully customized Seventies invites!
For a Seventies homemade party invitation, plenty of glitter and sparkly 1970s material is needed! Father a small Styrofoam ball, plenty of liquid glue and white cardstock.
First, begin by coating the small Styrofoam ball in liquid glue. Be sure to coat it completely because the glue is what the glitter adheres too! Next, sprinkle the glitter completely over the ball until it is fully coated. This may take a few passes by doing touch ups with glue and glitter.
Tip: Get a wooden dowel, stick it in the center of the disco ball and then rotate the ball to get a more even coat. This will help control the motion of the ball and make less of a mess.
Next, take a piece of white cardstock and write down all the details of the party. This will officially be the homemade party invitation and the disco ball will be the holder. Be sure to include name, location, time and all other important information on the invitation so guests know what to expect.
When the invite is complete, roll it up and tie it with a shiny metallic elastic or equivalent. This will keep the invite closed until someone un-wraps the invitation. Finally, take scissors and poke a hole in the disco ball and stick the invite in there. If using a dowel previously, the hole will already be available.
