Handmade Sixties Invitations
Sixties homemade 1960s party theme invitations are a ton of fun and very colorful. One of the most noted 1960s fashion trends to come out of the Sixties was tye-dye. Tye-dye was a big part of the 1960s pop culture and will forever be remembered as “groovy” and “psychedelic!”
The homemade party invitations are simple and also considered cheap invitations to make because they require very few materials and take less than five minutes apiece. All that is needed is a watercolor set, and a black marker. Smiley stickers can also be added as an optional addition.
First, determine the center of the front of the card. Being that we are creating a tye-dye look, the center of the card is fairly irrelevant; just eye it will be close enough. Take the first color, usually a darker color such as red and create a spiral going from the center outward. Next, try a light color that start close to the same point and then continues to grow from the middle to the sides while remaining on the outside of the first color. Continue the same pattern until the whole page is full of multiple colors in a spiral pattern. Give it a more tye-dye look by adding water to the paint brush and blending or roughing the edges or each spiral line.
On the front, over the design write a welcoming message and then in the inside write the details that guests will need to know in order to get to the party.
