Handmade Yom Kippur Invitations
While planning your Yom Kippur party, why not plan some homemade party invitations as well? With Yom Kippur being a very important Jewish holiday, you are most likely worried about getting every effort perfect for the big day. By making just a quick trip to the local craft store, you can create your own homemade Yom Kippur party invitations that will take no time at all, but impress the guests that receive them.
Take the time to pick up some bright white cardstock, a gold paint pen, and gold confetti from your craft store. Cut the white cardstock into wavy squares about three inches in diameter and set aside. Using a ruler and your gold paint pen, draw the Star of David in the center of your white cardstock and write a scripture quote under the star with the gold pen. On the opposite end write your invitation with a gold paint pen using a scrolled writing. For samples of scroll writing you can look online or buy a calligraphy book at your local craft store as well. Place in white envelopes with your gold confetti and send off to family and friends. Keep the theme throughout your party by showcasing gold and white with the Star of David. Use the same method for place cards at dinner and tie gold bows to glass goblets. Your guests will think you put days into your decorations and homemade party invitations.
